Curtains, Blinds: South-Facing Tall Wandows X2 In Living Room
Such windows are a blessing on normal days. But in Summer, we are seeking a means of reducing the sun's heat and light.
Sometimes, the living room has to be darkened for somebody to sleep without the distraction of the intense solar light.
Of course, some means of preventing "looking in", whilst having a good view "looking out" must be always in place.
Perhaps, a two-track hanging/sliding concept? Or three!
I would appreciate ideas and experiences regarding:
a) materials;
b) systems/construction.
Thank you.

They fit in the window recess, although you cannot put anything on the window sill then.Both sets allow you to angle the slats to suit the amount of sun/light you wish to allow in. You can have them opening to one side only, or opening from the middle like conventional curtains.They are made from a plastic type material that you can unhook from the fitting and roll up in a pillowcase to wash in your machine. I find this system most convenient and manageable. Hope this helps.
