Replacing Car Port Roof

Got a car port, 3.2m wide by 5.6m long. Currently has corrugated PVC sheeting which works but it's gone brittle and is now leaking in a couple places. Mother-in-law is adamant she doesn't want to put the same stuff back and someone has told her to use polycarbonate sheeting instead. While I agree, the longest sheet I can find is only 4m x 2m.

Whatever is used must be clear and definitely not opaque due to a kitchen window located in the middle of the car port - when it snows they need to switch the kitchen light on!

There's not much of a fall as it's as low as possible one end and is under the garage roof so changing the fall is not possible.

Problem with polycarbonate sheeting is there's not enough fall to overlap it to make the rain and any debris/dust fall off completely. B&Q staff have suggested putting one sheet all the way across and joining the next one with flashing tape but it's a bit wide and with be very obvious and hard to miss!

I've used polycarbonate on a couple of pergolas in my garden, it works well. As Buenchico said, glazing bars are available and these are what I used. There is one company called C & A Plastics who can provide everything that is needed. If you google them you can get a brochure and price list that explains all the methods available. Hope this helps.

Amazing, thanks! I'll have to get three of those sheets ordered and sort out some joining strips as well. Mother-in-law will be happy!

Use this, Zebby, to join 2 sheets for a longer run.

I would insert each sheet together with a bead of clear silicone. Then, to be sure, I'd run a bead along each top edge to seal it completely
