Speedo goes dead,mileometer reads just dashes, a few minutes later it all comes back?

Sounds like the mulit-pin connector on the back of the dial pod has worked loose.

Thanks Skids, also been informed 90% of time it is the speedo sensor in the gearbox or loose terminal on back of ignition switch, replacing sensor and car being checked over at garage, will tell them to check connections on pod, will let you know the outcome.

Was the speedo sensor. �54-00 fitted.
