We Buy Any Car
I just want to sell my car, not interested in part exchange or advertising it. Has anyone tried this company, if so, what did they think of them. They have given me a quote online which obviously they are going to drop when they see the car, always some excuse that it is not worth as much as they had not seen it. Thanks.

If as you say, you simply want rid, then they may be the people for you, but if you may want another car in the future, then a smaller dealership may give you a better price with the hope that you will return to buy from them in the future.

The price they quote is not what you get, they'll knock it down with a variety of tactics and they'll also hit you with an admin fee. They are known as "we buy any car dot con". On the upside the car will be gone with no hassle, if that's the aim then great. It also depends on the car. They call themselves WBAC and they do but they don't actually want any car, they want the ones that will sell at auction for a profit, usually to the fringe motor trade. They'll buy the others even the scrappers but they'll try and wriggle out by offering a low price.

This is a common business practice.
There is a chain of shops who used to be known as Records And Tapes Exchange, and their advert used to boast something like - not a direct quote, but the sense is here - "We buy any records, absolutely nothing refused …" which sounds really good.
Of course, the price they offer you may not be what you want to accept - yes they will buy your cherished collection of Tight Fit and Goombay Dance Band albums, but for 1p each! This allows them to watch you refuse, and leave with your albums, or to buy them, and sell them on at 1p each, losing no money in the process.
I am sure the same principle applies with WBACDC - yes they will buy your car, but it may be for less than scrap value, and you are not interested, and they are happy to let you drive away again.
