Mum Having Trouble Getting In Seat Of Car

Hi, my parents have just bought a Kia sportage second hand car, but my mum is having trouble getting over the bolster/hump on the side of the seat, She has had 2 new Knees and does have difficulty getting in but now this hump on the side is causing incredible pain in her hip trying to get in the seat. Can any one suggest anything, I have found car seat foam wedges that may heighten the centre a little which may help, she tried one of those rotary round seats with no luck. Can you have the foam removed professionally maybe, any thoughts will be greatly received. Many thanks

Would a portable step help?

I did suggest a new seat, she is using a portable step to get but still has trouble getting on to the seat properly, thanks for your replys
