Diamond Brite

We bought a new car and had Diamond Brite treatment which came with a bag of polish etc. We are now trading the car in and the garage has asked for the bag of polish etc as they said it is part of the car. We paid for this so surely it does not go with the car. Opinions please

If you paid for it, it belongs to you. What would happen if all the stuff was used up?
Tell them you're reviewing your plans to take another car from them.

Agree with Douglas 9401, if they are so petty over a bag of polish etc then tell them you are going elsewhere, if they penny pinch like that I personally would not buy a car from them as you don't know in other ways they try to save money,

How long ago was the car purchased? If a number of years, it would be odd to expect any of the "after-sale" product to be remaining.
However, there's not much point in keeping it because it is used in conjunction with the original Diamondbrite treatment.
(BTW, these paintwork treatments are no better than a good quality protective wax/polymer coat that you can do yourself...they are simply a way for a dealer to make a packet!)

Didn't you pay for the car too? The point about Diamond Brite is that it's a complete protection system which will add to the saleability of the car. If your next vehicle is also Diamond Brite, it will come with the treatment pack, and if it's not, then the specialist polish will be of little use to you.

I suppose if you'd used some of the polish,they'd have expected a refund? Tell the salesman to come round and see my wife!
Or better still: Get Boris Johnson to explain to him exactly what 'Brexit' means!
Ask him if the bag of polish is for him,'cos he seems like a right slippery ***
