I don't drive, but even if I did I would not feel confident crossing this bridge.

I wonder who on here would give it a go.

It wouldnt bother me. Although I wouldnt do it on a bicycle. The traffic would scare me too much!
No, thank you.
No big problem in a motor vehicle. 40kmp is no great speed and we have gradients worse than that in Devon . No way would I do that ,in my youth ,on a bicycle. The safety margin between cyclists and motor vehicles is not wide enough especially with the air vortex as a HGV or Bus passes close by.
I wouldnt, no, no way.
I'd much rather drive over that bridge than around the Arc de Triomphe!

It's taken with a telephoto lense which greatly exaggerates the slope. This is a side view.

I wouldn't bother me in a car unless there was stop start traffic on the bridge.
Zacs beat me to it. If you look at the Google Maps view of the bridge it's not nearly as "scary".
Whilst it does look a little perilous (possible because of the camera angle), I'd be more wary of crossing this bridge on a foggy morning in the autumn:

To be honest, I think the Pass of the Cattle into Applecross in Scotland was scarier than this looks.
Looks OK to me; compared to the drive around the Verdon Gorge or the coast road from Sorrento to Amalfi anyway - talk about clammy hands.
Barmaid, fantastic bit of road! Very fun I thought.
Try the Stelvio Pass in the Italian Alps - that really is fun. 48 hairpins on one of the approaches.
The Sheppey Crossing is not that much different to the Japanese effort. It is about the same length and 35m high compared to 44m for the Japanese bridge.
Not on bike, for sure!
I'd drive it. Might make me a little nervous though.

I'd be more worried about driving in Paris.
The way it's been photographed or filmed, it appears to be about 1 in 2 but it's actually about 1 in 16.
As my photo proves.
zac masters is correct
I used to get unnerved crossing the Thelwall Viaduct, so I don't think I could cope with that bridge.
