Last time I drove it was 3 weeks ago to move it across the others side due to road works outside my house. Now the battery has gone.
The reason for going to the office was to sort out my laptop battery problem so now I have 2 battery issues. I could just go in by bus but I wanted to take the car to keep the battery going. Obviously I've failed in that! :o(
Just waiting for my dad to come round with his jump leads! Not sure what else I can do.
Maybe Wolf. My appointment at our tech bar is at 3.30 and I was hoping to pop into the shopping centre to gets some bits and bobs as well. I was all psyched up to go in!
I have been out once in the last three months but our Oxfam shop will be opening in a couple of weeks so I may be in next week to try and work on our online store.
A tech bar? I have been away from DWP for far too long - that sounds futuristic. The computers that we had in 2003 when I became ill were nothing like the ones they have these days. Everything techy moves fast.
Good luck on your trip out - I hope that you enjoy your shopping trip.
How old is the battery? A battery in good condition should have no problem with a 3-week "rest", so perhaps yours may be getting on a bit (and due for replacement)?
I did I journey from Northampton to Derby. Stopped at MacDonalds for a toilet break and snack (I had the kids with me) and when I came out the battery was as dead as a DoDo.
I had to buy jump leads from the garage and stop the kindest looking person in the car park. Battery was fine after that.
Ummmm, it sound to me that since you went for a good drive and the battery went dead, but was OK after a boost your battery is not charging while driving. I think that you should get the battery and alternator checked.
Ummmm if you know someone with a volt meter you can check if alternator is giving any charge, you can also check if battery is draining any voltage. Are you sure you have not left anything on inadvertently?
