Just Bought A Nissan Micra
The manual mentions CVT fluid. What is it and what is it used for please?
The car is a 2001 petrol model. It is a Micra SE 16V 998cc. I will have a few questions about this car which my daughters bought for me from a trader and therefore I don't know some things about it such as when the oil was last changed.
I am abandoning SORN my 1995 Micra which failed the MOT this week and will cost a lot as welding is required. It has been and still is (apart from the welding needed) a brilliant car and I would never have changed it as it has been looked after mechanically. Has this model got a timing chain as it is important I know to change the oil frequently to protect same. I have been looking at you tube to see how to do this but at 77 maybe I ought to pay to have this done now. Until last year. my brother did this each year but he lives so far away and is also getting long in the tooth that it falls to me now to get it done asap.
