Barry. I’ve ordered one of those recommended Anker power packs.

Could you fill me in on how it works?

I take it you have to charge IT first, then use it to run your iPad and phone? .yes?

I know it should be obvious, but I’ve got a headful at the moment...

allen..you plug it into the wall plug until it is fully charged..a light changes colour.
You then unplug and bingo you have a mobile power unit.
When your phone or iPad needs recharging, you just plug the power u it into your device..phone or iPad.

Mrs sqad bought me one.........never used it.

My Anker turned up yesterday, charged overnight, all lights on.

Used it this a.m. to charge up my iPad, fine, just like magic.

Sending it off in a minute to Mrs A (that's a bit of a palavar, as it has to go through Covid 19 quarantine for a quick check), so she should have it this p.m., and no need to lose sight of her own iPad.

Brilliant bit of kit, many thanks for the recommendation.

I wouldn't be without mine, I use it to charge my tablets, phone, ereaders, usb torch, headphones - anything that can be charged by USB when I am not near a plug socket

If you've used it to charge something you've obviously used up some of the charge stored in it. You should top it up before you send it to you wife to make sure she gets maximum use from it.

The boss might not lose sight of her iPad but the rechargeable battery pack will have to be in the hands of the careless mob who started all the problems in the first place for recharging.

ipad was £450, the charger £35...
