I went out just to make sure battery was ok after a couple of frosts, started on the button.
BUT
Discovered lots of moss where ever water has been sitting, cleaned it of and washed car. Has anybody got any ideas of a solution to prevent it happening again. Hardly moved car since January and not for foreseeable future due to lockdown.
I was wondering about a weak bleach solution but not sure what adverse effects that would have on paint or rubber.
TIA
Tony
Caravans tend to get mossy over winter. You can buy stuff that claims to prevent it, so a caravan showroom (or web site) could be a good place to look.
I get the same problem and use my car frequently. It gathers round the windows and number plates. When I wash with car cleaner stuff it usually get rid of it. However I will try that other stuff.
btw damp atmosphere here means that rotary line cover (used almost daily) is also mossed all along the zip. One of the pleasure of living here I suppose.
bhg my local Halfords has some, bit pricey @ £12 for one small car but will have to bite the bullet otherwise it's only going to reoccurring problem. Haven't checked out amazon or eBay yet.
