Can someone please instruct me how to unlock my old Nokia (XR I think) pay as you go phone with Orange for free? (Codes etc.) It’s not accepting an EE SIM card

It looks like you can't get it done for free. (Some mobile phone companies no longer charge to unlock phones but Orange/EE appears not to be one of them). See here:

Perhaps go into an EE store and see if they can help. Orange was one of the companies that became EE, so they ought to help you.
