How Many Cars Have You Owned In Your Life?

I was staggered to realise I had owned 20, not all at the same time. I wonder how that figure stands against others here.
The only car I ever had that was appreciating in value got stolen 2 days after a man at a garage in Otley gave me his card and said if I ever wanted to sell it, give him first call.

Just had a long think and then tally. Not sure whether I am proud, stupid or romantic - but it is forty two over fifty five years of motoring. In the early, youthful days I would chop and change my car on whims but as I got older I settled into fairly lengthy periods of ownership. Current carriage is a Honda.
I've remembered another favourite of mine. It was a glorious turquoise Hillman Hunter GLS 1275 with a Holbay engine. Very fast. In beautiful condition. And rare, only a few made. I bought it from an ex boyfriend. Lent it to a pal one day and she had an accident and it was a write-off:-(. She was OK.
Tora, I love it. As you can see from the list I want from a BMW 325d Sport Touring (with all the bells & whistles) to my current MG and I don't miss the Beemer one bit. MG has panoramic glass roof / keyless entry / heated seats / touch screen (for nav, radio, Android Car etc) / Leather seats (electrically adjusted) / Parking Sensors / Adaptive Cruise Control / Auto dipping main beam / Lane departure warning (which I've switched off) / Pedestrian warning / Accident mitigation breaking / overtaking sensors and a few other bits. I get 145 miles range which I'm finding manageable. Approx £4.50 for a full charge.
