Why Are People So Naive ?
Sadly, you can't trust anybody these days, so people should always be alert to scammers. Having said that, it is easier said than done as some of them are very clever and can catch the victim in a flustering time.
But in a case on facebook (copied below, without name) the woman paid up cash on the spot for alleged damage to the scammer's car. It's obvious from the picture the damage couldn't have been caused by her car. I suspect he deliberately drew up closer as she was reversing. Being pregnant didn't help her disposition of course. Several responders on FB recommending her calling the police, which I endorsed. Surely demanding cash in such a situation is a criminal offence. Perhaps one of our legal specialists can offer an opinion.

P.S. In spite of the title, my complete sympathies are with this unfortunate lass. I hope she's learnt there are some right bistards about.
