Ordered some product that required ID to show over 18 years old, like some refillable Stanley knife.
But what are they doing with that picture of your ID on their phone is unknown. I have now stopped buying wines or other products that require such ID at doorstep. Just nervous about ID theft.
See what are other people thoughts on this.

"We take our responsibility in relation to the sale of age-restricted items extremely seriously. To confirm the recipient is over 18 years, valid photographic ID with a date of birth may be required upon delivery. The driver will input your year of birth into their device and may then require an ID check to complete the age verification process. The driver will not record any other information, take photographs of your ID document or be able to access your information once the delivery is complete. The year of birth is stored securely in Amazon’s systems in order for us to ensure that any legal obligations with respect to age verification have been met and will be deleted according to our retention policy.

Like you i would not like such intrusion into my details. I would not do it and buy some other way.
Have a day off, all that is public data anyway! For Funks Sake you wallies make me laugh, like you have anything that they don't already know Derrr!
TTT, your driving licence shows your name, address, DOB and signature. All useful items for the unscrupulous.
I've never had a problem and it's happened to me a few times. It doesn't bother me. I understand the delivery chap needs it to prove I have received my goods.

No, because they shouldn't be asking for it, as Buenchico points out above ...
Shugger, ignore my post. He just takes a pic of me receiving the parcel, that's all. No DL or PP involved.
Never been bothered with all that, they take one look at me and have no doubt that I'm old enough.

They took a picture of my passport's details. Because my licence is paper without photo. According to the Amazon policy as posted above, the driver should not have take picture of my details (if I read it correctly).
Yep, that’s correct.
