CLAONER DASH CAM PROBLEMS
Have the above dashcam. Front and rear cameras.
On screen message. SIM card full. Son took card out and tried to erase on computer but would not erase.
Tried to erase in dashcam itself but get the message "insert card 6c or above" .
This is the same card that I have used since I got the camera!
Have emailed Claoner Support. Waste of time no response.
Would a new card solve the problem?

If all else fails then, yes, a new card will solve the problem. Be careful which card you buy as different dashcams have different maximum-size limits. It's also recommended that you use High Endurance (NOT the same as High Performance) cards for dashcams.

There are two types of files on the card, one set created by normal recording and the other created by "incidents" (bumps/rough road etc). Cards are written sequentially and, when full, the early files get over-written by the latest ones. Only the normal files are over-written; the "incident" files are retained as they are considered to be possible accidents. Formatting the card deletes ALL files; if you do not format the card regularly it can become full of "incident" files and will no longer record. If you fromat the card ALL files will be deleted and you will be able to use the card again.
