Handbrake Button

I want to know anybody with button. Do you love them.  Met a stranger there she said her daughter did not feel secure with hers

I didn't in the beginning but I now love driving himself car with the button and wish my car had it.

It's 15 years since we bought our car with an electric handbrake. It felt a little strange at first and then we realised that, effectively, you ignore it; you put it on when you stop and when you start to move off it takes itself off. I'm not sure that some of the newer ones don't even put themselves on if you stop for more than a second or two. We have a Volvo and ours will only take itself off if you have fastened your seat belt; you can take it off yourself if you haven't. We always use our handbrake when we stop in traffic (it's easier than putting our automatic into P) and would hate to lose it now. If you find it strange at first, persevere. You'll very soon come to love it.

I have a automatic.  It turn its self on  whenever you put it into park . And turns it self off whenever you touch the accelerator.

I've got one and it did take a while to get used to. I quite like it now, except I can't do any handbreak turns 😂

I have had two cars with electric button parking brakes. I do not like them and doubt I ever will. The only advantage is there is no cable that streches and has to be adjusted.

I trust my electric parking brake more than a manual one.

It is either on or off, while a manual one can slip if not applied fully.

I never touch it. Just drive and stop.

 

A bit awkward when diving my old school MX5 though as I forget to pull it on!
