....don't. This is not new to me but I'm amazed how many people think it's ok to go through a red light or stop in a yellow box to assist and emergency vehicle.

I believe what you are stating is correct @1116 and 1151 particularly.I fell foul of a box junction a couple of months ago resulting in a fine. As you say some of the actions are not deliberate but a camera cannot discriminate re unfairness.I entered the junction outside Worcester Park BR Station in peak hour traffic fully believing my exit would be clear.A vehicle several cars ahead stalled or broken down and probably three of us were left high and dry and came to a halt. Result nicked. Before blessed cameras came on the scene we (Police Traffic Patrol Officers)were actually allowed to use comon sense and discretion and certain scenarios would not even warrant a verbal warning let alone a ticket. It's a good money box for Mayor Khan's coffers in London. He will put cameras up any where to hammer the motorist.
Retro makes my point perfectly, they were nicked because they entered the box when the exit was not clear. The way they knew that was because they stopped in the box. As I have said above several times Hymie is correct that the offence is based on entering the box but the only way to know that is if they have to stop in the box.
