why is my ford focus keeps jerking/shaking when driving?

why does my car jerk? i drive for bout 10 mins...den it starts to shake...den its ok for a bit but happens agian..?

it could be your front discs,have them checked out.

sounds like your wheels are out of balance and going in and out of synchonous balance/unbalance as they are not identical in size and actually rotate at slightly different speeds.


Go to a tyre place and get all the four wheels balanced, this should solve the problem.

Jerk or shake???

Shake - steering
Jerk - maybe fuel injection problems. If this jerking is at slow speed I would have the idle control system checked. The reason it is not happening for the first ten mins may be that the cold running (idle enrichment) system is in operation.
