Good Morning,
I have a real issue with mould in my car. I have currently having it valeted but how do I stop it coming back again?
Do I need to leave a window open a smidge?
Sometimes the water is running off the windscreen (inside) and its takes mounds of kitchen roll to dry it off.
Thank you
davebro3,
thank you for your response, I don't have any standing water, I checked the windscreen as that was my first thought by letting the hose fall on it and checking for drips but could not see any.
It did improve for a few days when I put a mobile dehumidifier in the car but as soon as it was 'full' it was as bad as before.
squitty @ 10.59...that is a common problem in some makes. The big empty space at the base of the windscreen (officially called the "plenum chamber") can be examined when the bonnet is up. The drain holes get blocked and rainwater seeps into the car.
You've obviously got moisture getting in somewhere.
Given that you are experiencing large amounts of water on the inside of the windscreen, this would suggest that a ventilation air-intake has become waterlogged (as others have suggested).
Some of this water (located close to the front of the car cabin) then evaporates and condenses on the windscreen.
