I have a rover 416N 1995. clutch bites when peddle hardley moves of the floor.please help?

If it has suddenly or gradually became like this your clutch cable may be stretched and require adjustment or replacement, though if the car is new to you and just seems strange it may be ok, this is where the bite is on a new clutch - its when the bite gets very high up that you need to worry as the clutch is on its way out.

sorry but this car has a hydraulic clutch.now can you help?
