i was recently was involved in an accident, when a young lad had ran in to the side of my car causing my tyre to go over his foot and now is claiming for compensation. however i did not have mot it was booked in for the following morning. i also recieved a producer that i took the police staion and i think they did not realise i had no mot and have not heard from them. the insurance company who i was with at the time would like to hold a meeting regarding the accident and would like all the documents available. do i have to hold the meeting with them as they are no longer my insurance providors? what would happen if the insuarance company find out i didnt have my mot at the time? i believe my insurance would be invalid but with it not being my fault what would happen?
