How to become a chauffer?
1 Answers
Hi all.
First post here!
I'd be interested to know if anyone has ever become a chauffer alongside their full-time office job? I'd be doing it in the Midlands area just on weekends. I am already a member of the IAM and also hold a RoSPA Advanced Driving Certificate (Silver). What kind of pay could I reasonably expect? It would be working for a company as opposed to setting a business up myself.
Cheers.

Otherwise you can work for a firm but that isnt so great - its rare you will be on a salary and the work can be a bit hit and miss. That might suit you though if you want to do it along side your full time job. Most clients would want you in the week though.
I do some at weekends but its all cash in hand and very casual (for bands and dj's). I charge a one off fee plus costs
I would get in touch with a local limo company - they have more work at weekends (wedding, hen parties etc) and you sound well qualified. Dont expect big money though but you might get the odd tip. I'm guessing about 8 -10 an hour.
