focus light

i have a t reg focus and while i was coming home the other day the engine management light came on could it come on because the coolant reservoir is empty ?

Doesn't no coolant lead to a overheated/seized engine?

You will need to take it to a Ford dealer (or an independent garage that has Ford diagnositc equipment) and they will plug it into their computer which will display the fault(s) if any. Providing all is well (the lights are sometimes over sensitive) it's a 5 minute job. Whilst you're there get them to check the coolant level and strength of anti-freeze.
