I've had the Galaxy for 5 yrs & 70k miles. It's had a problem almost from day 1 which main dealers & independants have failed to diagnose. Briefly, the car loses power( not every time !) and then jerks back to life after a few seconds. This can happen when putting load on the engine ie. uphill or sometimes at constant midrange speeds. Have tried replacing various bits at various times, mass flow meter, fuel filter etc. all to no avail. Car sometimes runs perfectly for a few days then returns to normal for no apparent reason. Weather doesn't seem a common factor.
Has anyone had a similar problem please ?

Could be a loose electrical connection, ignition system/plug fault or a fuel vapour lock.

I know someone that had one of these and after several attempts of the dealer shifting blame, it turned out that it had been a taxi and the milage was clocked.

Sounds like there is an intermitttent fuel pump problem.

Collapsed cat? i dont mean a dizzy moggy!
