MGTF won't start

Just bought an MGTF got in it today and it won't start.All the warning lights come on as ususal..but when I trun the key all the lights just flicker and it won't even fire up. I am also a blonde female.

First thoughts are a Flat Battery!

Or more likely is a bad connection/corroded battery terminal, have a look at the battery, if the terminals are covered in white gunge then they need to taken off and cleaned and refitted tightly, then try the starting again.

Sir is probably right,

Garages can be baxxxxxs sometimes, they probably new the battery was on it,s last legs before you bought it but just give it a good charge and leave you to get a new one.

Have a go at them!
