If a car is off the road with no tax or MOT and its in a private car park and a SORN has been filled out and sent off stating its off the road, does a council have to give you notice that it must be moved OR can they just smash the window and take it?Does anyone know.

So people who live in Council flats and houses with no access to any private drive, carpark or land are basically stuffed then? Maybe the Govt thinks all us plebs on council estates shouldn't get above our station by thinking we should be allowed to own a car!

Kind of unfair when you think people on council estates are generally less well off then people in private housing, and because of these biased rules they will have to put their cars straight into a garage to be fixed or something if they break down, instead of being able to spend time fixing them theirselves.
