Renault 1984 Rear Brakes

Hi, trying to cure strange noise on the rear brakes sounds like the shoes have worn down but unable to get the drum off,I cant see any screws to undo.thnaks.

I'm not a car wizz or anything but have dabbled a bit in car repairs. In my experience on older cars, it's amazing just how tight the things can be stuck on. make sure you give the drum a good hard hit all round with a hammer to try loosen it (without damaging). You might find it's just stuck on solid. Also make sure the hand brake is released.
BrrenM is right, make sure handbrake is released. The other way these drums can be held on is by the main hub nut. This is normally under a cover of some sorts that needs to be taken off then you should see a big nut (normally with a split pin or other locking device).
