Peugeot ASB problem

I have a peugeot 206 1999 GLX petrol 1.6.


The ABS warning light is coming on but of when I brake but the strange thing is that the car does not have ABS any idea as to why this could be happening?


I have taken to garage but they are a but stumped.

It might be your brake pads are worn and the warning contacts are wired to the ABS light.
