leasing car insurance

someone tells me it is a lot more expensive to insure a car on a lease contract, are there lease companies who also insure your car?

Whoever that someone is, tell them to stop talking rubbish. Makes no difference, unless the lease car is for a company and is insured on a company group policy. If the vehicle is leased under a personal contract or finance lease or contract hire, makes no differnce to the insurers.


I am not aware of any lease companies that can insure you, some may offer a GAP insurance, but that is purely to cover the insurance pay off and contract settlement in the event of a write off.


Speak to either LEX or Leaseplan, stay away from Arval.
