I know they can charge us for it, but are they legally obliged to make sure it is available?

No, but if they have it they are legally obliged to make sure it is accurate but most of them are inacurate!

It seems like every superstore garage in South Wales has theirs on the blink and none of them are ever in much of a hurry to get it repaired.
