Hi,
My '53 2.0tdci mondeo has started to cut out whilst driving. any time any place, usually only once in journey. No other electrics go. The ignition light flashes, and if i turn ignition off and on again immediately it starts up and is no problem. Only thing thats changed recently if the fuel, shell instead of asda and bp. Could this be a simple glo-plug problem or worse. Any ideas please.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.There is a fault that ford are aware of with c-max 2.0tdci caused by EGR valve. Not sure if this could be same thing or if its an engine management fault.
Is car still covered by warranty? If it is then get it to your local ford garage and they will investigate. Its not worth the risk of it cutting out at speed is it?
Hope you get it sorted

Hi Nicola,
The conclusion of my mondeo mess was that everything was working, no error codes, and typically the car did not fault on any of their test runs. So I'm not better off at his stage. I'll change my fuel and see what happens. The only thing that seems to have changed is my last fillup at a different garage and different fuel.
Thanks for the site hint, I'll have a look there as well.
