Help needed...Badly!
I have been done for speeding, If I take the points I will have to get the bus to work put it that way, A mate of mine said he would take my 3 points but he was not insured to drive my car, Would the police look into his insurance details on a case like this or would they just be happy to issue the fine and the 3 points to him without checking ? I know I'm being dodgy here so no" Lock him up" Type replys please.

If they find out that you've been trying to fiddle the system, they'll certainly charge you with conspiracy to obstruct the cause of justice. Conviction for this offence nearly always results in a custodial sentence. (Just ask Jeffrey Archer!).

Buenchico just to correct you a little. You can not conspire with the offender in this case. Hence no conspiracy.

Mmmm tough choice JJB for a few months ban. Don't get me wrong I drive well above the speed limit on many occasions. Alas I still easily see a cop or camera. Hell, I even spot helicopters!!!
Take the ticket and bite the bullet.
don't bother 'locking him up' ; hang him!!!!
seriously listen to the earlier replies, if the plod catch you trying it on, so to speak. you will get the book thrown at you, and it's a ble*din' heavy one!
possibly go to court, plead stupidity, tell the magistrates you know you were foolish & will change your ways. and try to get a short ban rather than a long one. i managed to get 2 weeks once cos i told them i would have to go on the dole if they banned me for the 2 months they were going to.( 80 on a 40 duel carraigeway, no traffic about except the plod car hiding behind a wall )
Cheers Guys.
Lot to think about there! I have been driving less then 2 years, if you get 6 points or more in that time you have to sit you whole test again, the whole lot, its not a ban as such. Also I have just been told that you dont have to be fully comp to drive someone else's car, most insurance companies cover you to do this... I have really messed but and thanks for the good advice, The wife is not happy trust me!
