I can't remember from what source but I heard that disabled parking spaces in car parks, e.g. supermarkets must be a certain colour otherwise they are invalid and technically anyone can park there. I can't remember if they're supposed to be white or yellow, and I have seen both. Does anyone know if this is true, and if so, what colour must they be to be valid?

I suspect that as this is private property the colour of the box would be irrelevant...
