motoring conviction

bit of a strange question but ex was caught driving whilst banned a month ago and has been kept in prison ever since awaiting trial.friends have told me that his conviction would have meant he would have been realeased on bail until the trial.any explanations as to why he has not been released?or could he have been charged with something more serious that he doesnt want to admit to me?

i know every case in different just wondered what such a conviction would lead to, point on licence?banned?jail?

i dont think his driving conviction would of led to him going to jail he would of probably been banned for another number of years or had his licence taken of him permently maybe he isnt telling you everything hun

Not necessarily. It depends on the conditions of his ban, how long the ban was for, how he was driving at the time of arrest, previous convictions, warrants and wether any incident occured at the time of re-arrest. Why dont you call the station and ask them what he was charged with, and why he was remanded.

Conviction can lead to jail, though a few months at max, a fine, a further ban and points. I know people who were jailed for similar motoring offences. Any jail term imposed will take into account time spent on remand. Do'nt worry, hopefully he will be released on conviction..and just fined. Don't stress yourself out too much

ive been 2 jail 4 driving whilst drunk and every time ur realeased when u sober up..................hes hiding something!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
