Hi,

Just picked up a second hand MX5, which has one or two blobs of what appears to be household paint on the bonnet. Any ideas how to remove them safely?

Thanks

try a drop of paint thinners, but be carefull
I was succesful using car tar remover and wax polish.

hi use a blunt razor blade at a 45 drgree angle .t cut should take out any small scratches left behind

If the paint was water based it should just flake off - go to a really hot powerwash first. I was renting a place in Uni and my landlord sent painters round to do the outside - they started withou is knowing and left tiny dropletts all my car. I got three quotes to fix it - the painters gave me the money for the middle quote of about 500 - when I took the car the the painters, the woner said "just give me 50 and i'll sort it for you" - he got a young lad to spend the day scraping them off with his nail - worked a treat!
