Hreg fiesta immobiliser

My fiesta battery light comes on sometimes while Iam still driving,then the car comes to a full stop,which is quite scary.My daughter gave me the car and she had the same trouble she said it,s the removable immobiliser could she be right?jozzer.

could be but if it sets itself surely you would have to do something to make it start again, i know it sounds easy but check the battery terminals are on properly and not loose, or check along the main wire on the alternator might be partly broken and so sometimes does not touch, i've had the same problem on a old cavalier and it was the wire had split and when you de-cellarate as the engine movesit was pulling itself away and losing contact, didnt cost anything to fix so hopefully its the same thing.
