I have a Ford Fiesta LX....REG 92-93.
My steering has become very tight.
I do not have power steering.
What may be the cause of this !
Many thanks....Kenny of Birmingham

could be the universal joint that connects the rack to the steering column some can be left in oil overnight and work fine but can come bac best to buy new one wouldnt think that they wer too dear

hi

judging by the age of the car it would be well worth examining your bottom ball joints, easy to fix and cheap to buy, good luck.

check your tyre pressures, on my old transit the steering was incredibly heavy untill one day someone told me that they were ment to be at 45-50 psi which sorted it fine, (fiesta ones are not ment to be this high i was just using it as en example of my problem, yours are prob around 28-30 psi on the front)
