my heater always blows hot air and cannot be turned down. is this anything to do with the thermostat? please help what can i do to fix this.

usually on ford cars it is the switch on the dash that needs looked at .

if not that then there is a valve that need replaced in near the bulk head .

can you change the speed the air comes out ?

yes by using the 1 2 3 4 5 dial but when the dial is changed from hot to cold or vice versa it makes no effects on the hot air being blown out.
