the light on my 98 escort gti stays on even though all the doors are closed any ideas??

It's either an electrical problem or maybe the buttons on the inside of the door panel could be faulty (these are similar to the door switches for the lights on a fridge)

just smash the light, that way it wont be there, you'll forget about it and ther'll be nothing to worry about

Stupid question, but you haven't switched it on yourself have you, maybe to read a map, or something, and not turned it off again?
