Fuel economiser
Does any one know if Fuel Economisers actually work.
Im thinking of the magnetic type that fits on the fuel pipe.
And will it affect an onboard computor.
Thanks Stuart

You know they don't work because the people who manufacture them don't have huge corporate headquarters and make billions of dollars.
If they worked they'd be fitted to almost all cars certainly all buses and lorries.
As it is people like Ecoflow

only have a PO box (so they probably run out of somebody's home address)
And in case you don't want to magnetise you petrol they'll promise you magical effects from magnetic water conditioners, wristbands and dietry suppliments!
Save the 50 and change your sparkplugs!
I am led to believe the ones that do not work are not fitted correctly in the first place. Having spent year in the petrol industry, It is a well known fact that petrol contracts when it gets cold so you will use more in the winter. No device can account for many different styles of driving.
The lastest thing in the market is MPG Caps, these are organic capsules that are added to fuel. They give a 15% fuel saving. They coat the inside of the combustion chamber and improve MPG and reduce emmisions, and only cost around 2 per tank of fuel. These are due to be launched in the UK in September 2006.
