Land rover off road courses
Hey,
Does anyone know where I can buy an off road day in the North West for my partner? Am after one where he can use his own Land Rover, and that is not just covering the basics (hes a farmer so is off road quite a lot anyway!!) Somebody mentioned a landrover club in Yorkshire, but cant remember the name. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

The Landrover off-road experience days do use their own vehicles - you don't use your own.
However having said that they're still excellent and given some of the stuff they do on them you might not want to use your own.
The instructor told me they get through a set of brake pads every few sessions, my wife had to do a failed hill start half way up "Caterpillar hill" - She asked why it was called that only to be told they rolled a Caterpillar on it whilst it was being built!
If you do go on one (and why not have a go yourself too? my wife had a ball ) when you book tell them you want to drive Defenders not the Disco's or Frelanders etc. you're much more personally in control - no electrickery and book the full day not the half day they throw in for all the people who buy a new car.
I don't think there are any "Courses" as such where you use your own car to follow it up look for local landrover clubs and check out this website
Ask on there. I'm sure you'll find them really friendly and helpful
