Fiesta back door won't open

My MK4 Fiesta back left door will not open, both handles seem to be quite slack, and the light on the display flashes on and off saying a door is open. What can i do?

sounds like the locking mechanism has broken or worked loose. you will need to remove the inner door trim to get at it and see exactly where the fault lies. If you are not able to do this yourself you will need the help of the experts. unfortunately they also charge extortionate rates to fix things. good luck!
