scenic shocks

Hi I have a r reg 97 2.0rxe scenic the shocks at the front are making a noise, Is there a way of getting rid of the noise as i cant afford 2 replace until nxt month? I'ts driving my wife crazy, the back passenger shock snapped lastweek so had to do the back pair. will it damage the car if i wait until nxt month to replace, i only drive about 200miles a week. many thanks in advance glyn
