New passat / vw 'Emissions Garage' warning

My new (55) passat has recently come up with an exhaust warning light and 'emissions garage' notification on the screen. I took it in to the dealership to have a look last friday and they said it was a loose connection and I got the car back and it was ok for a couple of days. Personally, I think they have just cleared the error code off the ecu, but it has come back again.

There seem to be no effects on driving - power or sound.
Any Ideas?
