Ford Puma boot

Hello,
My boot sundly doesnt work i have just bought a ford Puma, first of all i thought it maybe be they key so i changed the battery but still no luck!

If i press the reslise button on my car it still doesnt work unless i use the actually Key to open!which is a pain......

poss a faulty microswitch on the latch in the boot is there three wee metal squares on the landing panel if there is try cleaning them with a screwdriver or sandpaper and try that

Another thing you could try, is to press the release button (on the remote), TWICE within a couple of seconds, this is the way on a Focus and Mondeo trunk/boot/tailgate release works. I'm assuming you have a separate button for releasing the boot!

Yup! Definitely you need to press it twice on my Cogar.

Thanks i will try it tonight....

I have tried the key so many times clicking it twice nothing just seems to work!

Ill let you know how i get on with cleaning the metal bit! x

My focus has the same problem. It's not the door latch - that has been replaced and it's still U/S. Can anyone tell me where the driver PCB for the tailgate latch is so I can investigate possible dry joints etc.
