mileages between towns

Is there a straight forward mileage chart where you just put in the place you are in and your destination, and you can read the mileage? Without going into Autoroute etc.

Thanks for quick reply Ethel - thats a good site except the need to indicate smaller places by the nearest big town, which means the mileage is between the big towns !

This site may help. It's a pedometer site. Bit fiddly,click other options then enter a big town. You'll have to drag the screen around to find your strarting point and drag for a finishing point. Starting,press 'record' on left,double click starting point and double click any positions you wish to get the accumalated mileage.
