You are about to learn road craft, you will learn things that you have never even considered when driving a car, you will learn how not to die, you are no longer cocooned in a safe steel box, if you hit something it hurts. You will learn to treat cars in the same manner as you would a dog running out into the road, you won't take it personally, you will learn to anticipate stupidity. You will know what a car is going to do before it knows itself. You will learn that you do not have to do an emergency stop at roundabouts before looking at what is comming.

If you don't have the proper motorcycle clothing already, make sure you wear good steel-toe capped shoes or boots and leather bike gloves as an absolute minimum. (And of course a helmet!)
Good warm, strong clothing is also a must - the windchill factor can reduce the temperature by up to 10c.
Just relax and listen to everything the instructer is telling you. Remember to keep your wits about you and your common sense and you'll be absolutely fine!
