I am a 26 year old graduate and I work in sports. I want to do an adult education evening/weekend car mechanics course (preferably one for females but not really bothered). Can't find one near me, Barnet, N.London, anywhere!

I'm stuck! Can anyone tell me the kind of thing I should be looking for? Title of course or keywords, level of course etc.

Or does anyone know of a central website that could provide me with this info? Have tried the local college and looks like they don't do it. Have found a perfect one but it's in Southport - that's a bit of a commute!!!

Have just started looking and come against this brick wall so any help would be appreciated. Have any other females done this type of course before??

Thanks in advance everyone!

Southgate College offer an excellent Vehicle Maintenance course, which is highly respected in the trade. For further info go to: www.southgate.ac.uk

I work at the college (albeit in a different department) and I know that the reception staff there will be able to point you in the right direction.

Maybe see you there in September!
