I'm thinking of replacing my factory supplied tuner/casette player for a more upto date cd/mp3/tuner for my Vauxhall Astra.. I saw one I liked in Halfords and was told that to keep the steering controls and the dash display I would have to get an adapter which they dont supply.. Does anyone know where I could get one these adapters from and the approx cost??
Many thanx in advance

Hi Mattoc66

Was just about to post a similar question. I have a peugeot 306 (T reg, 1999) and have the same problem, I dont want to loose my steering wheel controls. I was talk that only Sony CD/MP3/Tuners would work in my car - but i dont know how true that is. When i have checked out the sony ones, not all of them are compatible, so i'm in the same position as you.

Depending on your make, model and year of your car you should be able to get an adapter/interface. I have been checking out ebay, but i havent seen any that would be of use. I have been quoted about 35-40 for one for my peugeot 306.

I'll let you know if i get any joy from my post.
